Anthony R. Ruth, M.C.E., P.E.

Mr. Ruth’s forensic professional experience includes projects requiring: residential and commercial roof evaluations, wind damage evaluations, construction defects, code evaluations, source of moisture detection, building envelope failures, construction vibration and blasting evaluations, bulkhead and seawall failure evaluations, foundatiion evaluations, cracks in masonry and stucco construction, structural failure evaluations and structural fire-damage evaluations.  Mr. Ruth has also provided expert witness services to attorneys in cases involving commercial roof failures.  

Mr. Ruth’s professional structural engineering experience includes design and analysis of projects including schools, churches, airport facilities, and plant modifications for nuclear power plants.  He is also experienced in investigating and analyzing failures in civil and structural engineering disciplines related to residential and commercial buildings.  This includes investigating foundation failures, roof damage, storm damage and verifying construction compliance with applicable building codes and contract specifications.

Mr. Ruth’s background also includes renovation and preparation of repair details for damaged structural systems.  These projects have included investigation and repair of damage to wood trusses, wood girders, wood columns, damaged concrete columns and girders, repair details for fire-damaged wood and masonry structures. 

Mr. Ruth is proficient in the use of the following structural analysis software: STAADPRO, RISA-3D, PDSTRUDL, PCA-ADOSS, and PCACOL.  He has used computerized software in the analysis of schools, airports, buildings, and nuclear power plants.
